The Bahianina navel orange is a type of sweet orange that is seedless and has a rich, juicy flavour that is delicious for eating out of hand. The fruit is medium sized, round-shaped and has a deep orange colour. It peels easily and the tender flesh provides a rich and pleasant flavour. Bahianina navel is an early season variety, recognised as a primary eating orange throughout the world. This early season variety has a moderate to good shelf life.

Cara Cara

The Cara Cara orange boasts a trifecta of attributes. It has the external appearance of a true navel orange, only to reveal a rich red fleshy interior due to the presence of the pigment lycopene. It offers a succulent flavour, sweeter than navels and more comparable to tangerines, with robust citrus aromatics. It has a smooth, yet slightly pebbled, easy-to-peel skin and when zested, releases bright floral fragrances. This seedless navel is known to have a good shelf life.

The fruit is medium to large in size and slightly pear-shaped with a small navel. This seedless variety matures very early and is juicy with a sweet flavour that is less sprightly than the Washington navel. Normal skin texture, yellow to orange colour appearance with a moderate shelf life.

Fukumoto

Fukumoto navel oranges are medium to large in size, averaging 5-8 centimetres in diameter, and are spherical to oblate in shape with a rounded depression, also known as a navel, on the blossom stem end. Both the internal and external colour is yellow-orange and the navels are seedless. It is one of the earliest varieties in the UniChoice navels harvest and packing season. It has good shelf life.

Early maturing seedless navel selection from California. This variety tends to be early ripening and heavy bearing. Taste and appearance are very similar to that of the Bahianina navel.
